I would share with you 2 pictures of a unknown syrphid moulting...

I am not sure if these flies have different moulting along their adult life, or just to larvae to adult...

To answer your question: no, adult syrphids (imagos) don't mould again.

Thanks for the Id, these pictures were taken on May 16th in the southern Spain, less than 20km to Afrika.
