Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Alpine Eristalis? (29.06.09)

Hello!

Christian Reiter asked me to post this fly here. Found at end of June in Austria near Salzburg-Schönfeld on a flower meadow at 1700 m above sea level. Length about 12 mm. Could it be Eristalis rupium?

It could be rupium, yes. Most likely so. All tergites show full shine..
