Posted a dorsal view of S.litorea week or so ago and have been keeping a lookout for it to get lateral shots. This seems to me to be the same type, can anyone confirm????
Photographed sitting on cat shit while being a bit voyeuristic towards a pair of Piophilidae who were getting on down...or something.

I don't think about S. litorea. No more idea for the moment.

Might well be litorea in my opinion.

Seems to be a variation in the heads of this one and the one thought to be S.litorea I sent in previously (top image).

The species is highly variable in colouration, though in the variation mentioned I have not sen the frons included.

Hi Paul
Not only the frons is different...Orbital/Frontal (?) Bristles in the top fly are pointing outwards, whereas in the bottom one they are pointing inwards. 2 different flies ????
