Today I saw some specimens of a Sphaerophoria that reminds me of S. rueppelli. It's the first time I saw this beautiful fly :). Is it possible to be sure it's S. ruepelli?

location: Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal

The next photos are only for comparing this species to male S. scripta:

Here the side of the thorax showing us the yellow band, that is interrupted in the fly that I saw today:):

S. rueppelli is the only one (at least recorded at Fauna Iberica) with that short yellow band :)
