Hi,

I have this to identify:

www.mariodiges.com/insectos/madridmayo09/Chrysotoxum%20sp.jpg
Chrysotoxum sp. I think cautum or elegans but I don't find distribution areas or something.

Taked in Madrid, Spain, 1000m aprox.

Some help?

Cheers.

the first one is a Merodon species. The second one looks like C. cautum but i don't have experience outside Belgium...
maybe Andre or others can help you further...
Also i guess the policy of the forum is to keep one thread per specimen...

Caliprobola thanks a lot.
I'm going to divide in two threads.

Cheers.

I'm thinking in C. verralli or C. octomaculatum but I don't know if the second exists in Spain...

Thanks a lot.

My first idea is octomaculatum too. But I am not sure and without the specimen in my hand I will never be :)
