Ah - this is interesting! Till now I only knew
Epistrophe eligans, which is clearly different. How do you tell
Syrphus and yellow-striped
Epistrophe apart?

the thorax is more dusted en greenish in Syrphus, bands on abdomen are more yellow not orange,... idono
according to the key because the squamae don't have hairs on the middle :|
this one has the hairs on the scutellum black so it should probably be somewhere around Epistrophe nitidicollis.
