Hello,
Is this fly Trixa conspersa - Tachinidae?
Found yesterday, little forrest near Mainriver close to Frankfurt/Germany; Size ca. 11mm

Yes, it is Trixa conspersa, a female.

The really wide abdomen, small head and mottled dusting pattern are good indicators of Trixa ... I just wasn't sure whether there was an alternative species in Germany :)

There is caerulescens as well in Germany, which lacks the darkening of the crossvein r-m (and many other features, invisible in these pics)
