Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Anthomyiidae - Hydrophoria or Hylemya?

This seem to be common round here at the moment; I've got a lot of photos and would love to put a name to it. I'm sure it's Anthomyiidae (anal vein reaches wing margin) but I'm often wrong. Looking in the gallery both Hydrophoria and Hylemya seem good matches - help would be much appreciated.

Devon, England. Semi-rural garden.

Correct. Necessary characters not visible (first of all lower calypter), my impression is rather Hylemya.

Thanks, Nikita.

Would some more photos help?

Different fly (though pretty sure it's the same sp.) different angle, close-up of squama.

Yes, it helps and confirms Hylemya.
Most probably H.urbica
