Hi,
Here is a medium-sized fly from today that I do not know where to put to. Is it possibly a Heleomyzid? Help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Sundew

That's interesting - thanks, Katka! There are only 2 German species, P. discoidea and P. litura. Is it possible to find out which one is mine? I have many pictures; may be, one shows an important decisive character. What shall I look for?

Hi,
P. discoidea has not spot between antenae, so it is not this species. P. litura has setae at R 3+4 vein, P. intermedia not. More probably it is P. litura, but I think it could be P. intermedia too (termophilous species).
