Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Rhinophoridae (?)

Quite a few of these flies were active at the Lingebos, Netherlands, today. They seemed to be defending a leaf and chased away all other flies. Size appr. 7-8 mm. I think it is Rhinophoridae. Is that correct, and is it possible to tell which species it is?

Thanks in advance!

Looks a bit like Phorocera (Tachinidae) to me :)
