Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Hoverfly with ball and socket joint abdomen

Can anyone shed light onto this one for me. Only small, about 8-9mm I think. When it lands it folds the abdomen down on what appears to be a ball and socket joint. I assume it is trying to mimic a wasp. It has a coppery sheen to the thorax. Ideas anyone?

Hey Trev,
It's a species of Baccha, but I'm not sure which one.
Greetings

Thanks Gerard, I did some searching and the only one that I found an image of that is similar is B clavata but I don't know if it is for certain.
