Hi,

this very Mydaea like fly has no setulae on radial node :| June 14.2007 Helsinki, Finland.

Difficult to say, but looks Mydaea for me too. These setae are often broken, did you check both sides of both wings under high magnification?

Well, there might be marks in the places where the setae has been. I don't believe there are other possibilities for genus or ... ?

I am bothered by the ad on mid tibia. Are you sure there is no Phaonia bristle on hind tibia ? If yes, I have a species name to propose...
