Hi! This male carabid was caught in E Hungary, March. I tried to photograph the aedeagus - hope it can be determined. Also, what is the round structure on the photo? It was also sclerotinised like the aedeagus. Size: 8-9 mm I think.

I would say Amara familiaris. Try to contact Frank Köhler

Not A. familiaris. That species has entirely red legs, while here the femora are dark. In fact I think this is rather Harpalinae than Pterostichinae. So I would look around Harpalus, around serripes. But with beetles Frank Koehler is your best option.
