Found trapped in the bath at home. Size...body 5mm.Is this A.ferox or A.similis? Or something else? Maybe one for Juergen and Chris to fight about again....Still haven't got a ring-flash :|.
Edit; Change of Photograph.

No fights this time hopefully!
Amaurobius sp is the best you will get for this one.

Thanks Chris
Probably enough fighting going on in the world anyhow, without starting another one, but
Amaurobius sp. how boring is that :|?
Regards anyway, Roger

There is a good chance to get an ID between
fenestralis and
similis (I'd go for the latter one, female) on
http://forum.spin.... It's a german forum, but occasional english posts will be ok. There are some people, who have special interest (and knowledge) in these two species.

Hi Juergen
Had a look at that Website..looks OK..but my German is NIL. I wouldn't know where to start registering, and sending photo's. I make a big enough ass of myself on this site without spreading it through to another one ;).
Regards Roger

Hi, Roger!

It's not that difficult:
On top left: "Bitte einloggen oder registrieren" (log in or register) you click on "registrieren". Then you have to put in a username ("Benutzernamen"), e-mail adress ("E-Mail") and password ("Passwort wählen") 2x (choose and confirm). Terminally to have to write the given five letters of a captcha for verification.
Photos you can upload when editing a post ("Neues Thema" = new posting) under "Erweiterte Optionen" (extended options) -> "Datei anhängen" (attach file).

Hi Juergen
It would be a
lot simpler if you did it on my behalf ;).
I don't know if I should inflict myself on any more people, other than the good folks of Diptera.info who are very tolerant....;).
Regards Roger
I have about
40 photo's of this spider I think...they are on a Portable Hard Disk at work so not sure at the moment.
