Hello Forum,
what about the ID of this syrphid? Found in Hagen, NRW, alder marshland, 175msm, September 26th 2008

Looks like Platycheirus sp.,don't know which one. The green colour is just being picked up from the surrounding vegatation, the same way your reflection can be seen on the thorax.

female Melanostoma - note the triangular shaped yellow markings on the abdomen.
