Hi, this one was about half the size of Calliphora lucilia, feeding on Apiaceae, in a forest, NE Hungary. What may it be?

I would say this is Muscidae, maybe
Neomyia.

Thanks, never heard of the genus :) I have some other - for me - tricky, Calliphorid-like Muscids, but with them I could go as far as telling it's muscid. Not with this specimen :)

it is easy. There is no (NEVER, I think) a calliphorid with a gentle bend in M vein. ;) At least, I don't know any exceptions to this!

There are Calliphoridae with a gentle bend in M vein - for example, Melinda.
