Hello,
Last weeks I saw many flies looking like the two below (Vijlenerbos,
Kunderberg). They were about 5 mm long.

Right
But to be honest, doesn't look like the same species.
Have a look at the arista, for instance.
Lower one might be Triarthria setipennis.

I agree - they look like different species - and there's not really enough detail to do a proper ID :(
