hi flyforum,
Today I found a little Calliphoridae on the ground in some old wood in the forest.
About 7mm, dark blue.
place: Amsterdam forest, The Netherlands
What kind of Calliphoridae is this?
if needed, I can make a crop of some part.

Melinda or
Bellardia. Have you got an image that shows for sure what colour the palps are? I'm leaning slightly more towards
Melinda because the palps don't look black, the abdominal reflections are blue and the face doesn't seem to be hairy all over.

hi Susan,
Difficult to see the palps.., but they seems to be dark (black) from what I can see..
Here are pictures where you can see a bit of the palps.

IN my non-scientific appproach of Calliphoridae, also known as gut feeling
it is blue, it is slender, so it must be Melinda

Thank you Theo for your reaction.
This calliphoridae is indeed rather small and quite blue..
I can call it Melinda sp. :)
