Hi, this midge was found in E-Hungary, 9th of December. Maybe Boletina? Made some pics from terminalia using image stacking.
Thanks for any help in advance.

I found this male together with a female, but they weren't mating, so not 100% sure that these are the same species. I have a photo of the wings of the female. I'll take one photo of the wings of the male, but I'm now not where my collection is, so I'll upload the photo only on Friday.

Female terminalia. There were some green algae on the terminalia - maybe oviposited into a substrate covered with terrestrial green-algae? Are they ovipositing this late? Maybe it helps the algae in dispersal?

According to the male terminalia it's a Coelosia species and most obviously C. fusca Bezzi.
Best wishes

Thank You a lot!!! It's really interesting to have an ID of a Mycetophilid, on species level, even if there's a 'most likely' :)

Do You think the female belongs to the same species?

Best regards, Walter

Hi, after a year I found this species again. Can C. fusca be confirmed?
