Hello!

In the checklist for Germany there are 14 Myopa species listed. This one, I found on May 28 in Ostwestfalen, has brindled wings. Is it therefore M. tesselatipennis or are there other species with such spots? Thanks in advance!

Hi Juergen,

There are more species with spotted wings, like vicaria, strandi and extricata. In my mind, you cannot see the difference in these pictures.
But then again, 'your' Jens-Hermann Stuke is the real expert.
