Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Syrphidae -> Syrphus torvus?

Hello,

what syrphid is this? I found it in July in my garden near Cologne. Length was about 7 oder 8mm.

Ah, maybe. I didn't know the coloring of Syrphus was so variable. All specimens I know had rather evenly yellow colored stripes.
