J-C - to get to illustris/caesar look for:

- black basicosta
- 2 post acr
- T1+2 metallic green like other tergites (and not strongly contrasting black)
- no obvious marginals on T3
- 3rd antennal segment not unusually long
- black hair present on occiput

To separate female illustris and caesar for certain is impossible from a photo taken in the field, as you need to be able to see the marginals on T6, but illustris has very slightly more separated eyes and is more synanthropic. In many places illustris would be the most common late season Lucilia.

Je vous en prie :)

I assume you or Pierre or someone is happy to translate into French? I would offer to do it myself, but even little jobs like this take me an age to get around to just now.
