Found 20 sept. Giethoorn (Netherlands) X199.6 Y526.191
Sice about 3-4mm

I see dark halteres en calypters (I think the calypters are dark, but I can't see them properly...)
Wings are brown
Maybe A.aterrima....?????

Azelia seems to me correct, congratulations.
Neither nebulosa nor cilipes. Some uncommon to me species, may be aterrima or gibbera...

A.gibbera is never seen in the Netherlands, so I put it for now away as Azelia cf aterrima
I must have catch the fly (what I can remember), so I wil look if I can find it and study it under the micros.
I thought is was a very common fly and did not give it much attention.....oh oh :@

Hmm...indeed could be, but H.nigra has a whitish lower calypter and mostly you can see something of that in a photo....but I think whit only one photo , we can't say more, so I go along whit your expertice !!!B)
