Hello,
There are outside so much Syrphidae that I have doubts each time I'm trying to identify one...
Here it seems to me that I recognized the characteristics of Sericomyia militaris (a female?).
Can you confirm it? Any other ideas???
(Pictures took at East Angus, Quebec (near Vermont) last June 14th).
Thanks again :-)

Yes. You should consult the excellent "Field guide to Syrphidae of Ontario" by Jeff Skevington, et al: <http://www.canacoll.org/Diptera/Staff/Skevington/Syrphidae/speciespages.htm>
