Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Ectophasia ?

Hello

I saw this fly in the French Alps (Guillaumes, 06) near 900m high. Its size was about 9mm. it was in September.

I think it is an Ectophasia but I am not sure and I don't know which species it could be.

Looks like a female Ectophasia to me :)

I suppose females can not be determined with pictures ?

correct. It is either crassipennis or oblonga, need to see the ovipositor.
