Hello,

Seen in the P?rigord (south of France), 23/VII/2008, 270 masl, size about 7-8mm.
I could not find a match in the gallery for this all-black body and this alar pattern.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ulidiidae: Herina sp. ex lugubris group; further ID is based on male terminalia only.

Hi Valery, with Elena key, I end up to Herina nigrina...

The grey microtrichose area on tergite seems to be present, but poorly visible. I'll ask Elena in an hour.

Of the two species it could be (lacustris or nigrina) the first almost always has the proximal part of the subostal cell dark brown (not as on the photo).

Elena Kameneva therefore suggests it can be nigrina indeed, and you are almost certainly right, Stephane.
