Location: Midwest Sweden (Dalsland)
Date: 2008-JUL-28

The first photo is OK, the others are crap, but maybe they tell something about the species. The fly was found in a glazed in veranda.

- Actia lamia
- Actia maksymovi
- Actia nigroscutellata
- Actia pilipennis
- Actia resinellae
- Actia crassicornis

Given the extent of bristlets on Cua1, I'd say A. pilipennis. I just hope it's the right guess.

Thanks again. Let's see what Theo thinks. These photos are of the same fly from the same photo session. Taking photos with flash against the window can result in all kinds of backgrounds ...

I forgot to mention that I might have more photos of this species from another day, for what that's worth. I haven't had time to go through this summers all photos.

A pilipennis would be my ID as well.

More based on the shape of the third antennal segment.
