Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Drosophilidae, Stegana ? from Romania

Hi,

today in the field on a dead/fallen beech (Fagus sylvestris) found several specimens of Stegana, from what i see is from Steganina subgenus so not so easy.

can be IDed? at least 2 specimens where collected.

By its head shape, it reminds me Stegana (Steganina) coleoptrata Scopoli or S. (Steganina) similis Maca & Lastovka, but in the second the wing pattern is paler. Ask Paul Beuk.

Stegana (Stegana) sp. Need to see the specimen(s) to say which species.
