This fly is among one of the most beautiful I've seen among the Nematocera.
And finally we are seeing one specimen belonging to the BLEPHARICERIDAE family. :D I think this is a Liponeura sp. species. It is nice to see the wing without alula showing a striking anal lobe!! :)
See that M2 doesn't connect to the M1 vein. B) Very nice to see very tiny transversal veins in the wing!! :oB)

"Larval blepharicerids constitute a guild of highly specialized grazers in streams." :D
If it was Blepharicera sp. we would see crazy eyes. :)

anyone has articles with species for Liponeura?
I'm trying find these:
If anybody has, please pm me. Thank you.

Liponeura is not listed as a genus:(

There are many species of Liponeura:

In Neartic I think Blepharicera and Agathon are common genus. Liponeura only in Palearctic? Not sure.
