Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Empididae - Hemerodromia cf. laudatoria - #1 from serra da Estrela

Hi



In this weekend I was in a fantastic place - serra da Estrela hunting for all kind of Diptera and we have seen so many things, some of them really spectacular. And we will bring a new family for diptera.info :D Be tunned. ;)


This is an Empididae, Hemerodromia sp. IDed by Paul Beuk. :D
This fly has about 3 mm length.

This might be H laudatoria but really impossible to say.
Nice to see a photo of Hemerodromia with prey as there are not many direct feeding observations in Hemerodromiinae

I caught some specimens of these Hemerodromia today. ;) Soon I will send them. I saw them at 6 pm.
