Hi,
Today evening I saw an interesting fly on a wild carrot inflorescence. I'd say it has a vena spuria in its wings, so it should be a syrphid. I am eager to learn its name!

PS. Well, one should also look at the side bars now and then. Among the latest photo additions there is one that matches perfectly, so I have found a
Chrysogaster solstitialis. Less work for you, dear experts!
