Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Any clues on this Nematocera?

Hello,

The attached fly was found floating in a water container, in my garden, in Hampshire, UK. Its body length is 1mm and it has very long, segmented antennae. I have close up shots if they would help further.

The attached photo was put together from various shots, using my scope cam - I couldnt get the sample in a single frame.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions...

I've also scoped a cocoon, which I think fits nicely...
