Any Ideas on this wasp?- first time I've seen one of them- about 15mm long taken today South Coast UK.

Brian,

I think it is a Nomada Sp. Bee. They look like wasps but are actually bees. There are alot of Nomada species and they are difficult to Id. They invade the nests of mining bees.
