Hello!

On leaf of Echinochloa sp. in my garden, Hungary. Very small max. 2mm long. I couldn't decide that the red spots on abdomen are the colour of the body or some kind of parasites. Thank you in advance for any indications.

20th of June 2008.

It is a chloropid and the red dots are phoretic mites.

Probably Oscinella - very common grass-feeders. Some of them are pests of cereals.
