This interesting fly was caught in a wine trap in the Wetland Kerkini National park northern Greece 9th to 15th of June 2008. Mixed (Oak dominated) woodland at 420 m ASL. It appears to have a subscutellum which should make it a Tachinid, but everything else disagrees. It has no hypopleural bristles, and the antennae are branched, though along the upper surface only, the wing venation is obvious from the photo.
