Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Ephydridae?

M?laga, south Spain. 11th June 2008. Size: about 6-7 mm.


HABITAT:

Extremely common in high numbres in ths watercourse full of algae. Can walk in the water surface.

Note: I have the pics of the pupae that almost sure is this species (same place and moment, same extremely common). I must put it in this same post, or I must put it in "eggs, larvae, pupae" forum?

This is Lispe (Muscidae) - post the pictures of pupae in the "eggs, larvae, pupae" forum. It's easy enough to link the two (if they are of the same species!;))
I'm not certain, but I think this species is L.tentaculata female. Stephane or Nikita may be able to confirm (or dispute) this.

Tony, I have only small sexual desagreement -
I think it is L.tentaculata male...

A muscid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 What a surprising suprise!!!! I don't thinked in Calyptrata..

Maybe is not the same species? Pupae under the masses of algae and sumberges stones.

Then, the adults are muscids without doubts and the pupae are ephydrid without doubts, no? :o:p
