Could be E. megacephalus?

9th June 2008. M?laga, south Spain. In a garden, in Santolina flowers. Size: the normal in Eristalinus, more or less 8-9 mm.

Aren't all Eristalinus with striped eyes E. taeniops?

At least E. megacephalus with striped eyes in the South also. But I don't know if are more... I know four Iberian species in this genus and could be more.

Eristalinus taeniops female.
It's the only one who has striped eyes in Europe. The other species all have spotted eyes, including E. megacephalus. There's a picture of megacephalus in the gallery!
