8th June 2008. Malaga, south Spain. Habitat: repoblation pine forest. Only one ex. seen. Size: same than a honey bee.

Yes, a male Merodon, but difficult to say what species.
I'll take a look at some literature at home, and if I can find what species it is, I'll get back to it.
