Some days ago, Alhaur?n de la Torre, M?laga, south Spain. Habitat: almond or olive-trees field, in yellow flowers. Size: about 5 mm.
Can be identified?

Panurgus spec. Species ID by photo is not possible here, but in Spain is dentipes a very common species.

Thanks a lot.
I have a previous picture of Panurgus cf. dentipes, identified here, and had a very, very big head, this mating ones have a "normal" head, it is important?

Size of head varies, but it also may be annother species. P. calcaratus also is common. In any case it is a Panurgus, and also flower relationships supports this diagnosis. Panurgus is restricted to (yellow) Asteraceae.
