Lake Kerkini northern Greece, nectaring on Paliuris spina-christi. 24-5-2008 a little smaller than the E. aeneus I posted on the 24th, and smaller than the E.arbustorum/nemorum as well, distinctly red-orange looking and courtship was only between similarly coloured individuals, very active and has a built in antifocus device, I took more than 20 photos and these are the best. the only two I even kept.

Ahh yes so it is, I only hnow of pendulus and trivittatus and I am sure it is not either of them, too red and too small.

And I have no Parahelophilus on my survey list so it is a new record for the reserve. Thanks Amalia
