Hello, new to the forum, i have been photographing insect for a while now but have only recently been keen to ID all the insects i photograph, indeed i now go to specific habitats looking for specific insects. I find quite a few i dont know!

Help with this one please, could it be a flesh fly? sarcophagidae?

Was about 10 metres from a running water source, in a manmade wood, in south east england during april. Fly was sitting on the expsoed tree roots at ground level. there were quite a few of them feeding on dropped fruit etc.

any ID pls
