Anthomyiidae, probably Hydrophoria (?lancifer) but could be Hylemya sp. Depends on the size of lower calypter and the seulose hairs on the scutellum, both not clearly visible; also colour of tibiae not clear.

Many thanks Michael! I only got two images before it took off and they are almost identical but it's nice to know where the key features are if I stumble upon a similar one!
