Hello,

what family (genus or species) is this? I found it in my garden (western germany. size about 8-9mm).

Sylvicola sp, Anisopodidae. I think this fly has just emerged, that is why it does not yet have the colored wings.

Hello,

a yes, I frequently photograph these fresh diptera at my compost and always wonder, what curious species I have found there....

Sylvicola fenestralis is indeed very common in my garden.
