Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Unknown Brachycera, 4 mm

Hello!

Sorry for these bad pictures, they are the only I have of this small fly from May-07 (at a hedge, northwest Germany). It nearly had the look of a small Phasia, but the wing venation does not match for Tachinidae.

and the abdomen is much too elongated for Phasia.

Seems to me either Anthomyiidae or some Lonchaeidae ?

Thanks for your replies! These were the families (and Muscidae), which came in my mind, too. But neither seemed 100% convincing to me (especially because of the very big Phasia-like eyes).
