Hi, any hints abouth this small blue beauty ? Collected from Southern Finland 1.5.2007.

I think it is in the Ephydridae but I can't be any more precise.

It is a Hydrellia (Ephydridae), male. It could be the common griseola but I am not sure if it is possible to identify the specimen without genital preparation.

Ok, thank You so much. Too small for me for preparation. I will label it as Hydrellia sp. Beautiful small fly anyway.
