Hi,
This is another of the smaller grey ones, a male this time, that I suppose to be an Anthomyiid, and a rather common one around our house. Are there enough leg bristles and other details to approach a genus?
Many thanks, Sundew

Might be Hydrophoria lancifer Harris male. The lower squama seems to be projecting beyong the upper, and in the second photo the scutellum disc is setulose-these point to Hydrophoria. Allso cylindrical abdomen, the prehypopygial tergites are quite long, and there is a second less common species, H. diabata, which can only be recognised by the genitalia, this might be it.
