Size: ~8-10mm
Habitat: Verge of a pasture

Formerly I have never seen such an odd, slender abdomened but robust liked fly. I am very curious about it.

It is a male of Pegomya testacea De Geer, 1776. Larvae feed on fungus of some kind. Yes it is a curious Pegomya, note there are 3 posthumeral setae, and the thorax is larger than the abdomen.
