Nematoceran? Have you been drinking, Jorge?

Looks more like Clusiidae (Clusiodes).

Dear Jorge,
Thanks for the answer but it is not a Mycetophilid, see the antennae in this new photo, now that I have removed a wing.

no. I was fooled. Paul has reason. Never could be a nematoceran. It is clusiid.

I would like to see better a frontal view.

Thanks Paul,
I have now been to the Clusiidae gallery and it looks closest to Hendelia beckeri, Jorge I will try for a better frontal photo later, I only got the camera today and haven't read the manual yet.

OK, the first two photos were using the SuperMacro Mode, these two are taken down the microscope, with practice I am sure I will get better.

And a little closer.

Is this also a member of the Clusiidae?

Yes, the very bottom photo is a clusiid, but the top photos are not! This is a species of Chyliza (Psilidae)!
Cheers,
Steve

errare humanum est. (hence, my "no comments":P) And remember this from Roosevelt: "The only man who never makes a mistake is the man who never does anything."

Why not, it was not my wing and the fly was already dead, and I have several others from the same sample. I would do as much for you Andre.B)

My thanks to Steve for helping sort this one out, perhaps Andrew will put it to species for me.
