hi flyforum,

Generaly I am not very glad with dogshit, but in this case I found some luck..
There where a lot of nice coloured 'fresh' Scathophaga's flying in the surrounding.

'from a discance' I could find species in the low vegetation and these Scatophaga looks like Scathophaga furcata.

Is it correct? Scathophaga furcata?

Robert - don't know. Humeri and scutellum are grey brown, not yellow, but arista looks like it could be plumose in second picture. Plumose arista would make it S lutaria. If arista bare, it is S furcata.

Thanks Susan,

It is S. lutaria, you can see the arista plumosa on this detai-picutre.

Nice to know! ;)
