Hello!

This 8 mm fly was resting on a twig of a plum tree in our garden this night (northwest Germany). Can it be determined more closely? Thanks!

Can't see enough details.

Is Huebneria so common at your places ?

With nightly photos with flash I still have many problems :(.

For me at least I can say, that this was the first time, I saw a fly like this.

Something doesn't look right for Huebneria ... I think the orange on the scutellum is being made to look stronger by the camera flash - and the eyes don't look big enough relative to the body.
